Come see what the reopened Union Market in northeast DC is all about.  Bidwell received Michelins Bib Gourmand award for affordable and delectable eats.  Lobster tacos, drunken bean dip, burrata, , braised short ribs, yellow-fin tuna nicoise,  local Asian pear salad, gin & tonic verlasso salmon, homemade fettuccini and rock shrimp, wood fired pizza and more.   Bidwell sources food locally including growing vegetables on their roof - can't get more local than that!  Have requested rooftop tour of garden for our group. Meet in the bar area at Bidwell's at 6 p.m. for drinks at happy hour prices, dinner in the restaurant at 6:30 p.m.

Parking: ample free parking in Union Market lot or on street - now WHEN was last time you heard that for a DC destination?

Metro: Noma/Gallaudet U. station on Red line Use Florida Ave exit and walk six blocks, about 1/2 mile to Bidwell's.  Will arrange post-dinner carpools/uber pool back to metro.
