By George, By Ira, By Gershwin @ the Source Theatre, Saturday, December 5th
Legends truly live on so join your friends in the D.C. Cal Alumni Club (maybe with a few good friends from Stanford) for a lively evening of music with an option for a pre-performance dinner nearby within walking distance of the Source Theatre.
“By George, By Ira, By Gershwin” brings Embraceable You, ‘S Wonderful, I Got Rhythm, heartfelt songs, memorable show-tunes, iconic jazz classics … such is the legacy of George and Ira Gershwin, the incomparable, fraternal songwriting team. Our concert-in-cabaret spans Tin Pan Alley to Hollywood and Porgy & Bess: all your favorites, and then some! Directors Abel Lopez, Reenie Codelka, Frank Conlon, and Angelisa Gillyard (choreography) lead an exuberant cast.
Showtime is Saturday December 5 at 7:00 PM, with an optional pre-dinner starting at 5:30 PM. Tickets are $38, with a special $25 ticket available for those ages 34 or below, and $22 for students. We are still working on dinner plans and anticipate $25 (including tip and tax) per person with alcohol being charged separately to you.
At the moment we have 20 tickets held so please sign up now AND let us know if you are interested in the pre-performance dinner so we can plan a reservation and menu options. Please contact Rob Tobiassen at [email protected] or (703) 203-1930, with any questions.
