We are so lucky that the Textile Museum was able to find us a docent for Saturday April 18 at 11 am.
Please mark your calendars and RSVP as soon as possible if you are interested in going on this event . They want to let me know the numbers because if we are under 20 people, we will have one guide. If we have more than 20 people, they will get us a second guide but they need some time to find one.
The exhibit we will see is called Unraveling Identity: Our Textiles, Our Stories. It will cover 5 millennia and 5 continents showing clothing, adornments and other fabrics that create a sense of self and status for cultures and religion.
The museum in the new location just opened about 2 weeks ago. I think this should be quite a wonderful experience for us.
The exact address is 701 21st Street.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org to RSVP
After the tour we will go to Paul at 2000 Pennsylvania Ave for lunch.
