Ella Fitzgerald, Jazz’s first lady of song, turns 100! Celebrate Ella Fitzgerald’s musical legacy with vocalist, Sharón Clark and her ensemble as they perform works that span Fitzgerald’s extensive career and highlight the timelessness of Ella’s rich repertoire. The Duke Ellington School of the Arts New Washingtonians Jazz Ensemble opens the program with a tribute to one of Ellington’s musical collaborators.

Afterwards wander over to private residence and rooftop overlooking Pennsylvania Ave with sweeping Washington skyline view from the Capital to the Washington Monument to the Clocktower of the Old Post Office aka Trump Hotel. Enjoy wine, beer and light appetizers . If you can’t make the concert, welcome to join group for wine and the view. Meet on F Street steps of American Art museum after the concert. If you miss the group, just head two blocks south on 8th Street to D St. and enter The Residences at Market Square West under the black awning .
