MIDSUMMER BBQ CHANGED TO SUNDAY JULY 30 4 PM DUE TO WEATHER

Hear ye! Hear ye! Listen well DC Alumni of Cal! Come one, come all to our Mid-Summer Night's Dream Party at our accomplished alum-author Phil Smucker's house in Alexandria. Phil's tree-lined, grassy estate, in his family for nearly 300 years, is situated in Alexandria’s Seminary Hill area. Phil is graciously providing & cooking the main dish and beer – so bring a side dish and a bottle if you like – all else is free! And don't forget your lawn chair!

This is a Shakespearean themed/Colonial themed party so sport ye best period dress if ye so desire. At least practice ye olde English!

What to bring: You MUST bring a side dish to feed 10 and, since the party is outdoors, a lawn chair is highly recommended. Please feel free to supplement Phil's beer choices by contributing your own favorite bottle, soft drinks or wine.

Parking: Though the address is 108 N. Quaker Lane, Phil asks that you PLEASE park at the top of Tupelo Place, which can be accessed from Fort Williams Parkway, and (then) walk through the open gate at 3 O'Clock (on the right) at the top of the Cul De Sac.

Phil will be happy to sell you a copy of his new book AT COST. It also happens to be somewhat in line with the theme: Riding with George: Sportsmanship & Chivalry in the Making of America’s First President

Please do not unclick the box next to "receive emails." This will boot you off the entire list serve.
