The DC Cal Alumni Club is excited to bring you the following special event - a talk with Cal grad Rear Admiral Yancy Lindsey USN, followed by a tour of the Washington Naval Yard.

Admiral Lindsey is the Navy’s Region Commandant as well as the commandant of the DC Naval District.  He is the commander of all the Naval facilities in our area and is responsible for the Navy’s response to disaster relief, coordinating with FEMA, should it become necessary.

A native of Phoenix Arizona, Rear Admiral Lindsey is a proud graduate of the University of California, Berkeley (‘86) with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Subsequently he earned two Master degrees; one in Military Science and another in Global Leadership. He then completed a Federal Executive Fellowship at Tufts Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.

The Rear Admiral has had many exciting duty assignments around the world, including three deployments to Antarctica and two to the Arabian Gulf. He will talk and show slides of his experiences in these locales (in particular Antarctica) and answer any questions that may come his way.
