Join fellow alumni in an informal setting (in the back room of Uptown Tap House) for a talk on the current status of intercollegiate sports on college campuses. Along the way, he'll talk more broadly about the effect of athletics on campuses in general, as well as introduce our alumni to the Athletic Study Center.

About the Speaker

Derek Van Rheenen, Ph.D. played Division 1 NCAA soccer for several years and obtained all of his degrees (B.A., M.A., & Ph.D) from Berkeley. Today, he is head of the Athletic Study Center, which marries the importance of education and the discipline of physical activity together.
