Community Service Opportunity at Jones Point Park

On Sept. 23 - World Rivers Day - join fellow Cal alums in providing Alexandria's Jones Point Park with some cleanup care. All you need to bring is a pair of closed-toed shoes and the Potomac Conservancy, the sponsoring organization, will provide the rest!

Plan to meet between 8:30-8:45 am, with cleanup activities beginning at 9 am. Once you arrive at the park, find the registration table to check in and locate your fellow Cal alums.

Getting There: Parking at Jones Point Park is tight so Potomac Conservancy encourages all volunteers to carpool or take public transportation. Metrobus 10 A, 10 B, 10 R, and AT3 all stop just blocks from the entrance to the park. Feeling up for a bit of a walk before cleaning up our Nation's River? The King Street Station (Blue/Yellow Line) is a 35-40 minute stroll through lovely Old Town Alexandria to the park.
