Some of our Law alumni want to share an upcoming event being hosted by Berkeley Law and the Edley Center on Law & Democracy.
They will be holding a symposium at UCDC on Friday Sept. 25th which discusses the new book from Catherine Lhamon and others called: Fight Back: How States Can Counter Authoritarianism. The book is co-edited by Berkeley Law Dean Erwin Chemerinsky and Chicago Law Dean Aziz Huq.
The symposium includes legal experts, such as Washington State Attorney General Nick Brown and includes two panels featuring attorneys and law professors who are working in this arena. Attendees will receive advance page proof copies of the book to take home.
The symposium is free, and it includes breakfast, lunch and snacks. But attendees are asked to RSVP in advance using Eventbrite

Where: UCDC, 1608 New Hampshire Avenue NW, Washington DC, 20036. Closest Metro options are Dupont Circle or Farragut North (Red Line) and Farragut West (Blue, Orange, and Silver Lines).
There is no parking available at UCDC, so you are encouraged to use public transportation or use other commercial parking lots.
