Oppenheimer Film Update:

Oppenheimer, the 2023 film directed by Christopher Nolan (180 mins), will premiere on Friday, July 21.  The story of the famed UC Berkeley scientist tapped for the Manhattan Project was filmed in IMAX format for maximum special effect.   Some scenes depicting the 1940s were filmed on the Berkeley campus.

The film in standard and IMAX versions will show at various theatres in our area, but the IMAX version will only be available for a limited time.  For best IMAX viewing, purchase your reserved seat online in advance.  Search for  "Oppenheimer film" online to find local dates & times.

It was not practical to organize a group viewing of the film for the Club, but we encourage you to see it on your own.
